ABOUT

A foundation of my practice is the concept that people and problems are separate and therefore I work in collaboration with my clients to address the problems that have taken too much control in their lives. Another foundational concept is that there must be a positive relationship with my clients, so I spend time in the initial session giving a prospective client as much information about me as they want so they can make an informed decision.

I am well into my 70's and I have experienced many of the situations my clients are experiencing My counseling style is respectful and I use a range of theories to address the problems my clients want to address.

I tailor my counseling to the needs of my clients and utilize several different modalities depending on the individual needs of my clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, and EMDR. I was

trained in Adlerian Therapy and use it extensively.

I graduated from Texas State University in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance. I retired from public education in 2010 and I have been in private practice in Georgetown since then. I am married and have two children and 3 grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, golf and beekeeping.
